About

Things Do Get Better

Hi, I'm Dr. Millie, and I am looking forward to helping you feel better. Over the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of supporting countless teens and adults who are navigating the complexities of anxiety, depression, poor body image, and challenging relationships with food and exercise. I believe in using research-based approaches, including EMDR, to facilitate healing and growth. Many of my clients report seeing progress after just a few sessions, which is incredibly rewarding for both them and me. I received my master's and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology. During my training, I gained valuable experience working with diverse populations in various settings, including schools, outpatient substance abuse programs, and specialized eating disorder recovery centers like Kaiser Permanente and the Eating Disorder Center of Denver (now EDCare). My extensive experience with eating disorders and disordered eating has equipped me with the skills to support those struggling in these areas. My therapeutic philosophy is centered on meeting you where you are and collaboratively developing a plan to help you achieve your goals. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or navigating life transitions, I am here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore and heal. I also offer specialized support for LGBTQIA+ individuals and those dealing with trauma, stress, and spirituality-related concerns. In our sessions, you can expect a compassionate and non-judgmental environment where your unique experiences and needs are honored. Together, we'll work towards creating positive changes in your life, fostering resilience, and building healthier relationships with yourself and others. Outside of my professional life, I value staying grounded and connected with my own well-being. This balance allows me to be fully present and engaged with my clients, ensuring that I can offer the best support possible. If you're ready to take the next step towards feeling better, I'm here to help. Let's work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
